Results of this season

NARRATIVE:This second season of  competition proved to have it's fair share of growing pains, as the guard literally became a stronger unit as the individual membership saw the lights of commitment and unity as the thrust that would set up the future of the organization. Some members still individually refused to practice at home or to move forward  as a help to the unit, but through it all, the guard gelled and became very strong by seasons end, eliminating those individuals whom looked at the program selfishly. The Mustangs would be promoted to the IRA Class for 2002.

   The true Mustangs came into being by summer  of 2001 setting up a powerful 2002 season .

Special Moments of 2000-2001:

*The first ever Mustang guard jackets FINALLY arrived the day of our second annual Sport of the Art show (which 

  happened to be the 2nd largest show in the MYCGC that year.

*Jess Nicholas and John Swanteson, both joined the guard due to 2 members lying about their responsibilities to the

  guard in January (Mrs. A removed those 2 members as to the MTM handbook).

*The members handbook becomes more strict due to academic issues from this season.

*The "circle" is part of everyday Mustang life.

*Santa does exist.

*We actually got show t shirts for the first time!

*The Secret Weapon is born.

*Our motto is born at the Oxford show in March.

*The guards banquet moves to the Holiday Inn in Utica. Medals with an inscription about our motto signify a very  special year and time.

*We added a staff by the end of February as Mr. A returned from surgery and brought with him 3 young ladies that   would assist as best they could to help Mrs. A and the guard. Gillian, Lynsay and Amy all enter the Mustang corral to  help
